Canada unveils retaliatory tariffs against the US amid trade war

Canada has announced it will impose retaliatory tariffs across 700 products from the US of a value of $US20 billion.

The tariffs will range from 15 per cent, 25 per cent, and 50 per cent and will cover industries including steel and aluminium, dairy, appliances, agricultural equipment, pulp and paper, plastics, and electronics.

This comes after the US slapped tariffs of 50 per cent on Canadian goods after trade talks between America and Canada collapsed last week.
