Calls to divert climate funds towards defence spending as ‘autocrats are on the march’

Journalist Andrew Neil says both the UK and Australia could increase their defence spending from the money being funnelled into net zero policies.

“You ask me where more defence spending would come from, in Britain and Australia, it comes from the money you were planning to spend on net zero,” Mr Neil said.

“What is more important, making an infinitesimal difference in CO2 emissions … or defending the nation?”
