Buckingham Palace ‘won’t be commenting’ on Prince Andrew scandal amid ongoing investigation
Sky News contributor Sophie Elsworth claims Buckingham Palace “won’t be commenting” on the allegations against Prince Andrew as the Metropolitan Police continue to investigate new claims against him.
The Metropolitan Police is investigating reports that in 2011, Prince Andrew allegedly asked a royal close protection officer to dig up dirt on Virginia Giuffre.
“Police have said that they are looking at the matter,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News Australia.
“Now there are, of course, those allegations by Virginia Giuffre’s family that Prince Andrew provided her personal details, including her social security number, to authorities to look into whether or not she had a criminal record.”
