Brazilians protest against granting amnesty to ex-president Bolsonaro

Tens of thousands of Brazilians have taken to the streets across the country to oppose a bill that could grant amnesty to former president Jair Bolsonaro.

Bolsonaro was convicted by Brazil’s Supreme Court of plotting a coup to cling to power after losing the 2022 election and handed a 27-year sentence, though he remains under house arrest while appeals are pending.
