Boris Johnson’s train targeted by Russian drone near NATO border

News24 host James Macpherson reports former UK prime minister Boris Johnson was travelling just two kilometres from the Polish-Ukrainian border when the train behind him was targeted by a Russian drone.

“Boris Johnson was just two kilometres from the Polish-Ukrainian border when the train behind him was targeted by a Russian drone,” Mr Macpherson said.

“Mr Johnson was returning from a security conference in Kyiv where Western officials met with Volodymyr Zelensky’s government to discuss possible peace negotiations with Russia.

“Thankfully, Ukrainian authorities confirmed there were no casualties among the 200 or so passengers on the train.

“These trains were only two kilometres from the Polish border. That’s awfully close to NATO territory.”
