Bizarre protesters clash with ICE agents in Portland
Strangely dressed protestors have been spotted outside an ICE facility in Portland, Oregon.
The protests come as at least 200 members of the National Guard will be deployed to Portland, Oregon, following an order from US President Donald Trump.
The activation of the National Guard follows Trump’s crackdown on Washington, DC and looming intervention in Memphis, Tennessee.
In a statement, the president said he is “authorising full force” to protect the “war-ravaged” Portland.
Trump also said the troops were being deployed to protect ICE facilities, which are “under siege from attack by Antifa and other domestic terrorists”.
In response, the Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield filed a lawsuit claiming the Trump administration’s plans were “unlawful” and unnecessary.
Oregon’s Governor Tina Kotek made a public statement warning Trump against deploying the National Guard.
