Bill Maher hilariously mocks ‘hypocritical’ lefties defending the Pope in feud with Trump
Comedian Bill Maher has called out liberals for defending Pope Leo XIV amid an ongoing feud with US President Donald Trump.
During a segment on ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’, the host labelled American liberals “hypocrites” for siding with the Pope.
“I love hypocritical America. I really do. See, liberals suddenly love the Pope. The Pope, who two weeks ago was all in the headlines. You know why? Exorcisms… The demons are all around the devils. That’s who the f****** Pope is, okay,” Maher said.
“A guy who does exorcisms, doesn’t believe in gay marriage, no women priests, but now, because he’s feuding with Trump, MSNBC loves this guy.”
Maher’s joke follows a feud between the White House and the Vatican, with Trump slamming the Pope as “weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy”.
