Bexley truck rat run crackdown begins | 7NEWS

The New South Wales government is installing cameras along Stoney Creek Road at Bexley to fine truck drivers $241 for avoiding the WestConnex motorway toll. Up to 60% of heavy vehicles currently dodge the $27 toll on this notorious rat run through suburban streets. Trucks over 20 metres will be banned from February, while heavy vehicles using toll roads between 9pm and 5am will only pay car rates to encourage off-peak travel.
