Australians are being urged to prepare now for a high-risk weather season, with warmer and drier conditions forecast across much of the country increasing the bushfire threat.

From Indigenous fire managers working to reduce risk in the north to emergency crews preparing for severe storms in the south-east, authorities are warning communities to act before dangerous conditions arrive.
