US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has commended Australia’s increased investment in military combat capabilities. Australia, the UK and the US have announced a new joint program to develop underwater drones for deployment next year. The drones will be used to protect undersea cables, conduct surveillance missions and strike enemy targets.
