Australia in an economic ‘sweet spot’ as RBA holds cash rate

HSBC Chief Economist Paul Bloxham discusses the Reserve Bank of Australia holding the cash rate at 3.6 per cent.

“In terms of the RBA’s mandate inflation is in the target band, the unemployment rate is at full employment,” Mr Bloxham told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.

“Growth is also in a modest upswing … the economy is in about as sweet a spot for Australia that it has been … in at least a decade now.”
