Asbestos scare widens as more SA schools detect recalled sand | ABC NEWS
The number of public education sites in South Australia that have reported coloured sand linked to an asbestos contamination scare has risen above 350.
While two Catholic schools remain temporarily closed, public education authorities say there is no plan for closures at this stage.
Asked whether there were grounds for removing “all of this kind of product”, regardless of brand, SA’s Education Department chief executive said “we’ll certainly have a look at that”.
