Antifa designated a ‘domestic terrorist organisation’ in the US
US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order designating the anti-fascist movement antifa as a ‘domestic terrorist organisation’.
The move follows his administration’s vow to crack down on what it calls the ‘radical left’ after the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The order directs agencies to “investigate, disrupt, and dismantle” unlawful activity.
Investigators have not identified a motive in Kirk’s killing, and no evidence has yet emerged linking the suspect to antifa.
