America’s national debt surpasses $40 trillion

America’s national debt has surpassed $US40 trillion for the first time in the country’s history.

Both parties bear responsibility for the staggering debt, but the deficit has accumulated quickly under Donald Trump’s presidency.

This comes as President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill is projected to add over $3 trillion to the deficit over the next 10 years – however, he’s looking towards outside investment in the US to spur economic growth.
