Alan Jones’ defence team cross-examined the first witness, known as Complainant J, in week one of the former broadcaster’s trial on 22 sex crimes charges. The defence alleges the complainant fabricated evidence about a 2004 incident at Jones’ Fitzroy Falls property, where the then-teenage athlete claims he was sexually assaulted. The judge-only trial heard arguments about discrepancies in the witness’s testimony and continues next week.
