‘Academia isn’t what it used to be’: Reliance on AI shows attendance decline at universities
Sky News host Freya Leach discusses the young generation’s reliance on ChatGPT and the drop in attendance at Australian universities.
“Academia is not what it used to be,” Ms Leach said.
“The levels of research, fraud, or plagiarism … are honestly staggering.
“I do worry about the generation of young people growing up relying on ChatGPT.
“This may be the death of in-person lectures.
“I certainly saw it when I was at USYD, participation rates at in-person classes is through the floor, people aren’t even going in person anymore.”
