Stolen car chase ends in dramatic M5 crash | 7NEWS
A 40-year-old man led police on an hour-long pursuit across Sydney’s western suburbs in a stolen Mazda MX-5, evading road spikes and driving on footpaths before crashing on the M5 motorway near Revesby. The chase began in Guildford at 10:35am and traversed multiple suburbs including Merrylands, Chester Hill, Bass Hill, Auburn, Regents Park and East Hills. The driver, who was allegedly unlicensed and known to police, was arrested at the scene and taken to Liverpool Hospital in stable condition, with multiple charges pending.
