A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murdering his mother and attempting to kill his 12-year-old sister at their Bentley home, with advocates claiming the family had been seeking help for years.
Organised crime gangs are targeting Perth universities and TAFE institutions to lure vulnerable international students into laundering money through their bank accounts. Crime Stoppers has launched a campaign warning students that acting as money mules can lead to criminal charges, visa cancellations, and identity theft. Police and authorities are urging the region’s more than 70,000 international students to learn the warning signs and report suspicious recruitment attempts immediately.
