Trump hails Messi’s genius after witnessing World Cup masterclass
US President Donald Trump has attended a FIFA World Cup reception in New York City ahead of the final game between Argentina and Spain.
“I mean, who’s not going to be at the game?” Mr Trump said.
“If we had about 10 million more seats, we would sell every ticket. This thing is sold out; nobody’s seen anything like it.
“I watched Messi, and he was well guarded, and all of a sudden he’s standing on the right … he’s so well guarded by a great player and then he moved to the right, and the other player was just standing there.”
