Murder of former British politician now with counter-terror police | 7NEWS
Former British Conservative minister Ann Widdecombe has been allegedly murdered in her Devon home, with counter-terrorism police leading the investigation into what authorities believe was a politically motivated killing.
A 28-year-old white British man has been arrested after being captured on security vision the morning of her death.
Widdecombe, who worked as Reform UK spokesperson for Nigel Farage, was known for her staunchly traditional views opposing abortion and same-sex marriage, and is the third high-profile UK politician allegedly murdered in the past decade.
