United Nations CEDAW documentation ‘never mentioned trans women’
Giggle for Girls founder Sall Grover claims the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) “never mentioned” transgender women.
“Australia has a Sex Discrimination Act because we came a signatory to CEDAW … a UN convention created in 1979 … they never mentioned trans women,” Ms Grover told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“Men are not considered women under CEDAW … if CEDAW intended men who claim to be women to be considered women in international law, they would have said it.”
