Strait of Hormuz toll works against long-standing US interest in ‘freedom of navigation’
Naval Warfare Senior Research Fellow Brent Sadler claims the toll on the Strait of Hormuz works against a long-standing US interest in the freedom of navigation.
“It’s pretty clear long-standing American national policy and interest is in the freedom of navigation,” Mr Sadler told Sky News Australia.
“So, any type of restriction or toll that’s placed on international waters, which the Straits of Hormuz are, would work against US interest.”
