‘Lessons of hubris’: Albanese destined for ‘humiliation’ at next federal election

Sky News host Rowan Dean says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s hubris will inevitably lead to his “humiliation” at the next federal election.

“The Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, may boast of his Italian heritage. It’s a shame he isn’t Greek. Because this week Anthony Albanese set in train the events which will inevitably, according to the ancient universal laws of the Greek empire, lead to his humiliation and destruction at the next election,” Mr Dean said.

“I’m not an especially religious person, or even superstitious, but if it comes to betting on the Greek gods of Olympus versus the ALP election machine of Sussex Street, I’ll bet on the Greek gods every time.

“The final stage of the cycle… destruction. The catastrophic end. The lesson of hubris is clear: no mortal can challenge the natural and divine order without severe consequences. Just ask Icarus, who flew too close to the sun. The ancient Greeks saw hubris not just as an individual flaw but as a universal law governing all human actions.”
