400 Global Sumud Flotilla activists released from Israeli detention | Ebola cases in DR Congo grow
Eleven Australians from the Global Sumud Flotilla are now in Türkiye, after being freed from Israeli detention. Israel has rejected allegations of mistreatment claiming it handled the interception of boats carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, with great sensitivity. It says all those activists aboard have now been deported.
Authorities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are struggling to contain the latest Ebola outbreak. The World Health Organisation says 139 people in the D-R-C are thought to have died from Ebola, out of 600 suspected cases.
