Unemployment rate rises from 4.3 per cent to 4.5 per cent

Business Editor Ross Greenwood discusses the unemployment rate rising from 4.3 per cent to 4.5 per cent.

“In the budget, the government forecast that the unemployment rate for this financial year would be four and a quarter per cent,” Mr Greenwood told Sky News Australia.

“The unemployment rate is four and a half per cent; so, in other words, it’s going closer to some of the forecasts of the Reserve Bank.”
