Ilhan Omar silent when pressed on alleged ties to massive Minnesota fraud scandal

US Representative Ilhan Omar refused to answer questions when pressed about her alleged ties to the Minnesota fraud scandal.

Fox News Digital pressed Omar about individuals attached to the ‘Feeding Our Futures’ scheme and if she was concerned about fraud tied to the programme.

The Somali-born Representative eventually released a statement on the investigation and her possible ties to the scheme.

“Any claim that I had knowledge of this scheme is flat-out false. The MEALS Act was signed into law by President Trump and passed with bipartisan support as part of a broader legislative package. Trump’s USDA Secretary set the regulatory framework during the rollout of the program,” the statement read.
“I have always championed feeding kids and will continue to ensure our children do not go hungry.”
