Albanese ‘hot under the collar’ after being called out about past negatively geared properties
Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was getting “hot under the collar” after being called out for owning investment properties and previously benefiting from negative gearing.
“I just don’t know that it helps anybody other than a federal government that can’t live within its means, who need piles of cash coming in to feed the beast that they’ve created,” Mr Newman told Sky News host Steve Price.
“The dishonesty of this … the Prime minister sort of getting hot under the collar, because he’s been called out as someone who’s got investment properties, who’s benefited from negative gearing breaks, but is now being denied to the young. He sort of then tries to sort of obfuscate and carry on and get all ‘horty torty’ about it.”
