Marco Rubio warns of ‘global repercussions’ if China uses force against Taiwan

Taiwan has welcomed comments by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, saying that America’s policy on Taiwan remains unchanged.

Mr Rubio says there would be “global repercussions” if China tried to take Taiwan by force.

“We think it would be a terrible mistake to force that through force or anything of that nature.”
