Passengers disembark hantavirus-hit cruise as it anchors off Canary Islands | ABC NEWS
The cruise ship caught up in a deadly hantavirus outbreak has arrived at the Spanish island of Tenerife, allowing some of its crew and 87 passengers to disembark.
All who were on board the cruise, including five Australians, will be isolated and tested before they are flown back to their home countries.
The World Health Organisation has assured little risk to the local population of Tenerife after residents raised concerns about the ship’s arrival.
