Taronga Zoo has begun construction on a new Sky Safari cable car system, three years after the original shut down. The upgraded version will accommodate groups of up to 10 people and feature improved accessibility for prams and large wheelchairs. A new cable car station near the ferry wharf will provide easier access to public transport, with the facility scheduled to open in late 2027.
