‘Treasurer’s job’: Health minister steps in as NDIS cuts welcomed

Former Morrison press secretary Andrew Carswell comments on the Health Minister Mark Butler’s announcement of NDIS cuts.

“It’s nice to see Mark Butler doing the treasurer’s job,” Mr Carswell told Sky News Australia.

​“It is a good decision. I don’t buy this notion that the government needs to spend political capital on this decision. This will be warmly received by the public.

“They’re trying to cauterise a wound, and that wound is a growing recognition that they’ve mismanaged the budget.”
