Iran launched sophisticated ballistic missiles at Tel Aviv, with at least one breaching Israel’s Iron Dome defence system. The attack represents an escalation from previous conflicts, as Iran’s hypersonic missiles travel at five times the speed of sound and can reach Israel in approximately 12 minutes from 1,500 kilometres away. The offensive follows reports of Iran’s supreme leader being killed in an airstrike, amid ongoing tensions and US military build-up in the region.
