The tribute unfolded on the Bellalui slope, famous for hosting men’s World Cup downhill starts, and honoured the victims of the fire, which also injured more than 100 people.
The event was organised by the Swiss Ski School of Crans-Montana with local ski clubs and backed by Crans-Montana Tourism & Congress.
All 40 people who died in the New Year’s Eve bar fire in Switzerland have been identified, with teenagers making up more than half of the death toll.
Swiss authorities have opened a criminal investigation of two bar managers on suspicion of offences including homicide by negligence.
