Bondi Beach shooter was on ASIO’s radar over Islamic State links | ABC NEWS
An ABC investigation has uncovered a Bondi Beach gunman’s links to the Islamic State and a notorious Sydney jihadist.
Naveed Akram, who is currently under police guard in hospital, is understood to be a follower of pro-IS preacher Wisam Haddad.
The gunman was active in preaching activities for Haddad’s Dawah Van organisation.
A former ASIO undercover agent alleges Naveed Akram was a worshipper at the controversial Al Madina Dawah prayer centre in Bankstown.
