Albanese government to crack down on NDIS ‘fraud and abuse’

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell discusses a meeting between NDIS Minister Jenny McAllister and state ministers on Friday which “didn’t go well”.

Mr Clennell claimed that, according to a source, the meeting was a “complete disaster”.

“Sky News can reveal today that at least when it comes to NDIS fraud, the federal government is planning to make what it calls a significant announcement involving new legislation to crack down on fraud and abuse in the NDIS,” he said.

“The government has also told me they are looking to address so-called blind spots.”
