Albanese ridiculed over plan to convince Trump to end the Iran war
News24 host James Macpherson mocks Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s plan to lobby Donald Trump to end the Iran war.
“Anthony Albanese has announced that he will directly lobby US President Donald Trump to end the Iran war,” Mr Macpherson said.
“I’m not saying our PM has an inflated estimation of his own influence. But of all the things weighing him down, modesty does not appear to be one of them.
“Does anyone really think Donald Trump is sitting in the Oval Office desperately waiting for a phone call from Albo?
“Albanese wants to look like the man standing up to Trump for the benefit of voters who dislike the American President.”
