Medieval Roman tower partially collapses, trapping worker inside

A medieval tower in central Rome that was under renovation partially collapsed on Monday local time, with one worker trapped alive under the rubble and another critically injured.
Part of the Torre dei Conti collapsed just after 11.30am (9.30pm AEDT),
Rome Mayor Roberto Gualteri and Italian Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli were present as firefighters cordoned off the street and moved back crowds.
The Torre dei Conti, dating from the early 13th century, was being restored with European Union funds.
