US President Donald Trump terminated Canada-US trade talks this week over this video, which shows Republican former US president Ronald Reagan saying tariffs cause trade wars and economic disaster.
In a late-night social media post, Trump called the ad fraudulent.
The premier of Canadian province Ontario says it will pull anti-tariff ads after this weekend’s baseball World Series games.
