Trump ‘massively overestimated’ Putin’s willingness to end Ukraine war
Author Adam B Coleman responds to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s retaliation against US President Donald Trump over new oil sanctions.
“It sounds like Trump wasn’t ready for how steadfast Putin was going to be,” Mr Coleman told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
“I don’t think he was aware of … how much he hates the West, so the idea of allowing the United States or any other Western nation to sanction him into some sort of agreement that he doesn’t really want, he’s just going to resist.
“He massively overestimated how easy this was going to be.”
