Kevin Rudd’s attendance at White House meeting will be an ‘interesting moment’
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says Australian ambassador to the US Kevin Rudd’s attendance at the White House for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s meeting with US President Donald Trump will be an “interesting moment”.
“Emphasising the importance of critical minerals to the visit, the Prime Minister’s office has announced overnight that Resources Minister Madeleine King and Industry Minister Tim Ayres will be on the trip,” Mr Clennell said.
“Foreign Minister Penny Wong won’t be on the trip – she’ll be acting PM at home – but the ambassador, Kevin Rudd, will be in the White House for the big meeting. It promises to be an interesting moment.”
