Russian strikes hit Ukrainian grocery store in Kharkiv
Russian attacks have killed six people in two Ukrainian cities on Sunday, including this strike on a grocery store in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, where three people died and 20 were injured, officials said.
In a Monday morning social media post, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said a drone hit a Kyiv power plant, leading to power outages in the capital.
Shortly after, he said there had been a strike on the CHP-5 power plant in the eastern city of Kharkiv, while adding that “Ukrainian skies have been infested with Russian ‘shaheds’ all day”, referring to a type of drone.
Trump had hours earlier announced that “effective immediately, there is an ENERGY CEASEFIRE in the War between Russia and Ukraine”.
Zelenskyy expressed surprise at the announcement and said he was seeking further details, while Russia has yet to confirm its agreement.
