A SpaceX Starship rocket has successfully reached orbit for the first time despite an engine failure on the way.
The rocket, which is capable of carrying a much larger payload than other SpaceX rockets, deployed new Starlink satellites in the Earth’s orbit.
The University of Queensland’s Dr Matthew Richardson says the mission marks a significant milestone in the company’s endeavour to form part of NASA’s Artemis program to land humans on the Moon.
