Anika Wells under fire for not acting on Optus’ triple-zero email scandal
It has been revealed Optus sent a notification of the triple-zero outage to the wrong email address, one that was not being monitored.
Emails have now been tabled in parliament, which show the nature of what Optus had told the communications department.
Communications Minister Anika Wells’ office was cc’d on the initial emails, which were incorrectly sent, and the government argues that what Optus told them in these emails vastly under-exaggerated the significance of the outage.
