‘Makes absolute sense’: Labor urged to rethink nuclear ban amid fears Australia will fall behind
Nuclear for Australia Founder Will Shackel says it “makes absolute sense” to scrap the nation’s ban on nuclear energy.
“Australia should lift the ban on nuclear power, take advantage of our natural resources and strengths,” Mr Shackel told News24.
“When it comes to nuclear, we’ve got the largest uranium reserves in the world, we’ve got decades of experience managing research reactors, and we’re developing a nuclear industry, so it just makes sense to at least consider adding nuclear power in our energy mix.”
