Terrifying moment storm hunters fly into the centre of Hurricane Lowell

The US Air Force’s Hurricane Hunters unit said they flew into the eye of Hurricane Lowell in the Pacific Ocean on September 7 to collect data on the storm’s intensity and track.
According to the National Weather Service, Lowell was forecast to pass west of Kauai’s coastal waters on Monday night, with high surf and heavy rain potentially impacting all of the Hawaiian Islands.
