‘Sometimes things happen’: JD Vance on ‘sceptical’ reports of US strike on Iranian wedding
US Vice President JD Vance has commented on reports of a US strike being responsible for the deaths of four people at a wedding celebration in Iran this week following the resumption of fighting in the Middle East.
“The United States never targets civilians in combat; we never will do that, we never have done that,” he said.
“Unfortunately, obviously, sometimes things happen, but in this particular case, I don’t think that we have any information.”
Vice President Vance said the US is investigating the incident.
