‘Putting Dracula in control of the blood bank’: Labor urged to act on Optus triple zero scandal
Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson has compared the government’s move to put an independent inquiry in charge of investigating Optus’ triple zero outages to “putting Dracula in control of the blood bank”.
“It’s all very well to have an independent inquiry, but that’s not good enough, and also the government’s decision just to get the regulator to do the job is like putting Dracula in control of the blood bank,” Mr Henderson told Sky News Australia.
“We cannot forget this is an absolute scandal. A number of people have died as a result of the triple zero failures.”
