‘We need more flexibility’: Angus Taylor unveils Coalition plan to overhaul childcare

Liberal Leader Angus Taylor says the Coalition wants to give families greater choice and transparency in childcare.

“This is a huge area; can I say we’ve already announced policy in this area.” Mr Taylor told News24 host Jaimee Rogers.

“We wanted to see a register so people could know if someone has had an allegation against them, a child sex offence; you should be able to understand that you should be able to know that when putting your kids into a childcare centre.

“We need more flexibility.

“There are a lot of young families where the current childcare model simply doesn’t work.”
