On Monday, August 17th, Australia became one of the first countries in the world to pay riders and drivers who work for delivery apps a minimum wage.

This comes after the Fair Work Commission approved a deal between the Transport Workers Union and major delivery apps like UberEats and DoorDash.

This means drivers will have an hourly minimum based on their mode of transport.
