NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon has ‘unreservedly’ apologised to the family of teenage hiker Lily Hooper after they were initially told she had been found alive. Lanyon said he was sorry for the miscommunication error and “any additional trauma that may have caused to Lily’s family”.
